Great book full of really inspiration to do things differently, to be brilliant and make the most of life As with many books in this category, much of the content is common sense but it s communicated in a fun and relatable way has truly made a massive difference I was originally given this book at the end of a course at work I am usuall sceptical about books on self improvement but I found myself in an airport that was pretty much closed and needed something to do and any book is better than no book right The thing is, with this book, I found I couldn t stop reading it it forewent my planned sleep on the plane and by the following day I had finished it It doesn t read like a self help book at all the narrative reminds me of another book I read in one sitting without noticing the time Dave Gorman s Googlewhack Adventure I found that by the end of the book, i had a plan of simple step I could take to make myself happier and, all being well, spread that happiness to others without coming across as some weird evangelist I have now bought the Kindle edition because that means I can refer to it whenever I need a reminder of tips and tricks but also becasue I lend my paperback to a friend who was going through a crisis of confidence and she and her husband are now both very much on the road to becoming 2%ers Excellent read made me laugh made me cry Most of it is what we already know.but are too busy or distracted to put into practice I mumbled to myself several times throughout the read oh yeah Of course Shifts your mindset for the better Have passed to hubby now to read as he s typically always been your glass half empty kind of person. Really funny, smart and easy to access That doesn t mean that the content is dumbed down but it does mean that you re not Googling NLP terms every two mins or nodding sagely while the words do a literal flyby.I ve already recommended this book to everyone I know It will make a difference if you re willing to be open and try to change your behaviour I loved it Thank you to the team for sharing all the ideas and inspiration within it And mentioning the word shag Am now the proud owner of The Art of Being Brilliant and Shine and have already pre ordered Zest.Love, love, love these books You will too. Bought this as a present for my girlfriend and she loved it She went through it very quickly and it served it s purpose She has a better outlook, with regards to work and is trying to implement some of the important messages to make her life less stressful and easier I heard a lecture from one of the authors and he is very funny, witty, intelligent and this comes across in the book A good read with very important messages to be taken in order to stay positive and be the best you can be. I read this book out of order this one second and Be Brilliant Everyday first but it didn t really matter The back of the book states Six Common sense principles to transform your life And it really boils down to just that but just how common is common sense Not very This book is funny smile a lot and sometimes laugh , varied stories, quotes, cartoons, tests and interesting but like Be Brilliant Everday, the absolute beauty lies in just how soothing a read this is I think this is as good as a word as possible to describe it Reading this book just cheered me up and I looked forward to each new chapter There are feel good films This, and Be Brilliant Everday, are now my feel good books. Like most people, I already know what I need to do to make my life brilliant, however, as the two wonderful authors point out, common sense doesn t automatically mean commonplace So here I am, about to start the climb into the 2%ers and I couldn t be happy about it It s no exaggeration to say that I felt lighter, happier and positive from the moment I started reading this book Give it a whirl, you ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain That s why we re looking at these types of books, right I purchased it for my daughter Actually she wanted The Art of Being Brilliant Teenager by the same author However she liked this one also So be specific while purchasing if you want this one or the..Teenager one.
