This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers To view it, click here SPOILERS Rating is at the bottom This book was probably the best in the series It was awesome throughout the whole thing, action packed, dramatic and suspenseful, and even had long awaited character development from the four main characters I loved Elian and Pell in this one However, rather like Pell, I do not approve of Jack killing Segun with his rifle, Pell should ve been the one to kill Segun But this book did have quite a big flaw The ending While the first part of the ending was gr SPOILERS Rating is at the bottom This book was probably the best in the series It was awesome throughout the whole thing, action packed, dramatic and suspenseful, and even had long awaited character development from the four main characters I loved Elian and Pell in this one However, rather like Pell, I do not approve of Jack killing Segun with his rifle, Pell should ve been the one to kill Segun But this book did have quite a big flaw The ending While the first part of the ending was great, Nolita and Firestorm making the decision to sacrifice themselves instead of Elian and Aurora Even just what was supposed to be the supposed sacrifice of Elian and Aurora, that is quite the plot twist, and then evenso with Nolita and Firestorm doing it instead And then the Oracle was reborn, stopping the fighting and sending the Night dragons back to their enclave I just didn t like the final chapter, the last part of the ending It just kind of felt rushed, almost like the book was in a hurry to finish Maybe we could ve got onechapter, like with Elian and Aurora as they start their journey to the dawn dragon enclave, Kira and Fang as they start their journey to the dusk dragon enclave, and Pell and Shadow as they return to the night dragon enclave no longer outlaws and begin their new life It just feels like it ended a little abruptly, but then I suppose, this is a book for a slightly younger audience However, that last part about the joining I don t think that was necessary I really don t think readers cared that much about that Overall 9 10 An awesome book, great detail, plot, characters, action, and who doesn t want a war with dragons Just a bit of a rushed ending was he only flaw A really great book and a great series for young readers to really start reading

This was an enjoyable series I love that Robson tied things up, but at the same time left things open if he wanted to continue this storyline.

I really liked this book and that is a rare thing these days It may be aimed at children, but the story is very well executed It s the forth in the series, and I haven t read the previous four must fix that mistake and it still makes a complete, understandable stand alone story It is both light reading, and epic at the same time It s one of those truly rare books that do dragons and dragon riders justice, and don t use them like tired tropes The character stories weave strong emotions a I really liked this book and that is a rare thing these days It may be aimed at children, but the story is very well executed It s the forth in the series, and I haven t read the previous four must fix that mistake and it still makes a complete, understandable stand alone story It is both light reading, and epic at the same time It s one of those truly rare books that do dragons and dragon riders justice, and don t use them like tired tropes The character stories weave strong emotions around the dragon rider bond that would make a Pern fan happy, while giving the dragonsautonomy and character, which is always good This is a story where protagonists take turn, I m guessing one character per book, with this one being the final one It s a good idea to read them in order Still, it s a series worth placing high on your to read list Not since Her Majesty s dragon by Naomi Novak have i been moved so emotionally by a dragon dragon rider story I ve gotten the previous three already and can t recommend this one high enough

Why is it always the first and last books of a series that quicken my heart rate I totally cried when my favourite character jumped into the well instead of Elian Elian is such a scaredy cat Even Nolita can do that which she did I LOVED THE STORY that s all.

I liked it very much and although I wish no one had to be the sacrifice at the end I m glad that Elian and Aurora didn t have to be the sacrifice I can t say I m happy Nolita and Firestorm died but at least they re happy with their decision and the Oracle was reborn.

It lost two stars because Nolita dies and we never hear from Pell again
