This is probably the most comprehensive book I have on grammar and sentence structure in Somali I ve decided starting with it was slowing me down though I do a lot better just learning words but this is awesome for trying to figure out how to conjugate something When I get better, this book will be used much and I ll pour over it and actually find it interesting.

This is an excellent book for anyone who seriously wants to learn Somali It s definitely not a phrase book It clearly and gradually explains the ins and outs of Somali grammar, with plenty of exercises to help you get it into your head I d suggest that if you ve never attempted to learn a language before, then you might find it quite hard going a reasonably sophisticated knowledge of grammatical terms is required But if you re up for a challenge, it s a real joy to use.

would not recommend this to others and that s all I can put but have to add this to satisfy the silly system that requires 19 words

This book is broken down into chapters which all start with casual day to day conversations, which gives the book a focus of actual language use as opposed to theoretical rules of grammar This is useful for anyone whose objective is to fluently converse with Somali speakers.Contrary to the above post by one reviewer, the book teaches all the Somali numbers from 1 to 100 and beyond It also deals with complex sentences as well as simpler ones.A great book for beginners.
