humor, and other nights, I couldn t get a laugh or was given a strange look at a joke that I thought was hilarious. That was the main point in buying this book How can I beconsistent with my humor and get rid of those awkward moments This book definitely helped me understand some of the things I may have missed or just wasn t paying attention to One of the main points I really got out of it is holding back in those social environments Sometimes, my gut tells me to tell a story a certain way, or to express it a certain way, and I back down thinking it might make me too vulnerable It s crazy that a lot of the things I noticed in this book is are characteristics that I have seen in some of my funniest friends Exaggeration and self deprecating humor were items that I have seen a lot in funny people, and this helped me understand how to use those tools to have people busting a gut at my jokes What I like about the book is that it helps you to identify that humor is all around us, and to get out of your own logical, comfort zone self, and be ablet to identify that there are things around us that are comical and can be brought to light to share humor with others To be aware that they are out there, and to be looking for them really makes sense in being able to make others laugh The book also describes how to take your own stories of crazy things that have happened to you and be able to deliver them in a way that can be entertaining. That is probably one of the best ideas that I read that I can put into use How to structure a story in a way that others would find entertaining How to analyze funny situations that have happened to you, how to setup that story to gain attention, how to deliver the story, and how to deliver the punchline so that you will be able to impress your friends and most importantly girls The book is well written, easy read, and can definitely be read in a hour to two hours It discusses many types of characters, how to copy certain aspects from them, and some cool homework type steps that you can do every day to improve your ability to make people laugh Good Read Really good book Here s what I like about the book It helps you to just wasn t paying attention to The book also describes how to take your own stories of crazy things that have happened to you and be able to deliver them in a way that can be entertaining I know there have been many times that I ve gone into story telling mode and lost everyone less than halfway in.There s how to structure a story in a way that others would find entertaining, how to analyze would I have thought that a book like this would help me personally and professionally Awesome This is quite different than any other books I have on this topic of humor and how to be funny The techniques and strategies are there, but it has afocus on using humor for being outgoing in the real world, than being a comedian That s good because not everybody wants to do standup for a living, so the appeal of this book can be for the everyday common folks, who just wants to normally funnier than who they are now.Now on to the book itself The title is quite catchy to say the least I d This is than being a comedian That s good because not everybody wants to do standup for a living, so the appeal of this book can be for the everyday common folks, who just wants to normally funnier than who they are now.Now on to the book itself The title is quite catchy to say the least I did crack a bit at it so the author does have a sense of humor in naming this rather than how to be funny The book starts off talking about the importance of humor I could relate to because hey don t we all wish we could make people laugh and be lovable It does do a great job of addressing that and the background of humor, but that didn t really interest me much. Then on to the actual stuffs on adding to your conversation It does provide examples to this I could certainly use and the different characters to be funny rather than say something funny This part I like because I can have a reference of inspiration to just goof off.The heart of the book is when it gets to the part about creative wit Now this really got my attention because I m not a naturally witty person, and always have trouble being in groups of people and everybody are riffing off of each other s lines when I stay there quiet Great exercises to do to work on those creative muscles. There I hope this review helps In my opinion great book exploring the different elements of humor you can apply in the real world to be a funnier person
